FixingLog – Cookie Notice
1. Necessary settings
Necessary cookies support sign-in, CSRF protection, temporary external authentication state and language selection. fixinglog-consent stores the necessary/analytics choice for 180 days. Language preference lasts up to one year; session and temporary cookies follow their session/token lifetime. No account is required to choose cookie settings.
2. Optional Google Analytics
Optional Google Analytics runs only after explicit cookie permission, using the Google browser tag. Categories are home and HVAC by language, login page, portal and report form. The tag runs in an empty same-origin measurement frame; this is not a separate security origin or technical isolation. The application supplies only allowlisted categories, generic titles and public language paths. It does not supply business/customer records, job content, form values, private URLs, tokens or attachments as analytics events. The operator disables automatic Enhanced measurement. The direct browser connection lets Google process network and device information and derive an approximate location from the IP address. We do not measure GPS position or work addresses. Google _ga and _ga_* cookies provide random browser and session identification; configured expiry is up to 180 days and may renew with usage. These are not account identifiers. Returning-visitor recognition is limited across devices, cookie deletion and blocking. Permission can be withdrawn in Cookie settings. Measurement does not prove successful sign-in, form submission or job completion. International transfers may occur under Google’s service terms.
3. Analytics cookies and lawful basis
Google _ga and _ga_* cookies provide random browser and session identification. Configured expiry is up to 180 days and may renew with usage. They are created only after consent and the application clears them on withdrawal. Legacy fixinglog-analytics-client and fixinglog-analytics-session cookies no longer drive Google measurement. Provider retention is configured separately in Google Analytics. Advertising storage and personalisation are denied.
4. Choice and withdrawal
Necessary only and Allow analytics are equally available; optional consent is not preselected. Cookie settings can be reopened at any time. Rejection stops the embedded measurement and clears accessible GA cookies. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing or automatically delete information already held by Google; use the privacy contact for requests. Clearing browser data or expiry after 180 days requires a new choice.
5. Evidence and embedded forms
Changes are logged with version, time, language, random event reference and, with a trusted proxy, IP address. Maintenance removes raw IP after 90 days and cookie-choice evidence after 180 days. Rejection may also be held in necessary local browser storage to block analytics during server failures. Embedded report forms may use category-based browser measurement only after consent in the FixingLog context. Browser restrictions on embedding or cookies may prevent measurement. Cookies of the host website are governed by that website’s notice.
